Department of Transport and Main Roads Update: 29 March 2017

INFORMATION BULLETIN UPDATE AS AT 29 MARCH 17 @ 4.30PM

Heavy vehicle access in Queensland during emergency conditions
TMR and QPS have withdrawn travel restriction advice for the movement of Oversize and Overmass, Dangerous Goods and Agricultural Vehicle operators within the cyclone affected area.

However, TMR and QPS recommend that operations of these vehicles should be limited as much as possible while disaster response activities and infrastructure inspections continue.

Heavy rainfall is expected to continue for some time moving in a south-easterly direction so operators should continue to monitor changing road conditions and wet weather travel restrictions and suspensions in the Conditions of Operations Database at www.tmr.qld.gov.au/business-industry/Heavy-vehicles/Excess-mass-and-dimensions/Excess-mass-and-dimension-conditions.aspx and the 13 19 40 website at 131940.qld.gov.au

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) wish to advise of its dedicated hotline telephone number 13 25 23 for any related enquiries, cyclone assistance or animal welfare matters. Further information is also available at https://www.daf.qld.gov.au
